Hello! I’m Sandra Friend, author of the Explorer’s Guide series to Florida as well as more than a dozen other books covering aspects of my home state, Florida. I love a good road trip, and any given year, I’m racking up 40,000 miles or more on my Jeep to find the best places to stay, eat, and explore. I prefer backroads and rural communities over the city life – I grew up in the country – and spend most of my effort tooling down the backroads looking for cool stuff to add to my guidebooks.
